What is the IGC Passport Index?

IGC Passport Index- It is an industrial and retail analysis index that compares the performance of Citizenship by Investment Programs. Studies and research of similar content - have been done by many other companies. However, the IGC Passport Index differs in two important ways. The IGC Passport Index stands out as a study only for donation and passport programs. Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, Dominica and Grenada Programs - not the subject of this study. For a comparison of real estate programs - see. IGC Golden Visa Index. The reason for this preference is that we consider the Citizenship by Investment Programs funded through donations to be markedly different from real estate programs. We think that evaluating two different products- as if they were one product-on the same index -will reduce the efficiency of the results.IGC is a Turkey-based Session and Citizenship Planning firm with its main client base from Turkey. The criteria we have created are weighted by considering the beliefs, approaches and preferences of Turkish investors.

      Evaluation Criteria and Explanations

      • Cost : This criterion considers the donation amount required by the program in comparison to other administrative costs. The expense category carries a weight of 40%, taking into account the price sensitivity of Turkish investors.

      • Speed : This criterion is based on the time it takes for the program to process the application and provide a result. A shorter processing time is considered favorable, and it carries a weight of 15%.

      • Freedom of Travel : This criterion takes into account the number of countries that the passport holder can travel to without requiring a visa. Important destinations such as the EU, USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Russia, and China are considered, and it carries a weight of 35% as it is the main purpose of obtaining a passport.

      • Convenience This criterion assesses the ease of applying to the program, including factors such as required documents, absence of mandatory travel, and no language learning requirements. It carries a weight of 10%. By using these criteria and their respective weights, the IGC Passport Index aims to provide insights and comparisons for Turkish investors considering Citizenship by Investment Programs.
